In My Mailbox(2 new)

In My Mailbox is a weekly event exploring the books received this week and is hosted by Kristi @ The Story Siren. Please comment with your links so I can come see what's new with you too!!

So, I've been keeping up with my reading/lowering the number of books I check out from the library every week, so surprisingly, this week I have 2 new books to share with you guys!

Last week, I checked out Abandon by Meg Cabot and Red Glove by Holly Black(both are truly amazing and unique - definite must reads). This week, I have a few different and unique books to read!

The first one is Living Dead In Dallas by Charlaine Harris. It's the second book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. But, I didn't review the first book on this blog, so I won't be reviewing it on this blog. Any series that I have not started on THIS blog, will not be reviewed. Just to clear that up for everyone :)

Here's the book cover and a few things about 'Living Dead In Dallas'.
Cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse is on a streak of bad luck. First, her coworker is murdered. Then, she's face-to-face with a beastly creature that gives her a poisonous lashing. Enter the vampires, who graciously suck the poison from her veins. But they saved her life, so when one of the bloodsuckers asks for a favor, Sookie complies - and soon she's in Dallas using her telepathic skills to search for a missing vampire.

And the second and last one I got was The Iron King by Julie Kagawa. I know I'm a little late for reading this book, but I'm pretty sure the hype on this series has DEFINITELY not died down.
Now, isn't this cover just gorgeous??
Meghan Chase has a secret destiny; one she could never have imagined.
Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home.
When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.
But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

And wait for it..
The rest of the series! Well, the first full three anyway. And then there's the more talked about one:
The Iron Knight! You can obviously tell that the book belongs in the series, but with the change from girl to boy on the cover kind of makes you wonder whats in store for us..

Well, that's all for this week! Make sure to stop by tomorrow for Top Ten Tuesday and Teaser Tuesday!
